Being a club member entitles you to take part in any of
the matches shown in your
membership book. Normally, there are 12 matches in any one
season fished on both the front and back lakes, offering
a range of fishing styles which include Carping, Pole, Pike
and leisure. There are also a couple of matches where fishing
in pairs takes place.
In every match, a Golden Peg is drawn where the winner claims
the accumulated cash in the kitty. In 2005, this totalled
£47 and was won by Alan Brown.
Trophies are awarded to those with the highest amount of
points in each of the fishing categories and in 2004, the
Rayner brothers had a busy night at the award
ceremony!
Remember, you don't have to fish every
match. Just take part in those that you can.

Taking part in a match couldn't be easier.
Entrance to every match is free
1. Arrive at the KPAC car park at the allotted time.
2. Pay an optional prize fund & golden peg fee
3. Individuals draw peg numbers
4. Match Secretary then draws the Golden Peg
5. Walk off to appropriate swim
6. On the Secretarys whistle, start fishing
The Match Secretary records all weights caught by those
taking part.
Points are allocated to top 10 weights.
Match winner(s) receives the prize fund in cash, and should
the winner also have the Golden Peg, they collect the accumulated
kitty money. If not, the Golden Peg kitty is carried forward
to the next match. It should
be noted that all money received from entrance fees is divided
amongst the prizes. No club funds are derived from
match takings.

All funds received from matches are divided as follows:
1. Match day prize fund
2. Golden Peg prize fund
For example: If 15 anglers took part in a match, and each
paid £4, the amounts divided up would be: £50
to be used for 1st, 2nd and possibly 3rd and £10 for
the winner of the Golden Peg.
Of course, the more anglers that take
part in the matches, the more funds are available for prizes.
Please support the club and take part whenever possible. If
you think you're not up to it, you only need to look at last
years results to see you could
easily be in with a chance! |
