from the sale of these licences helps to fund the

A quick
but very important message to all anglers.... the
current British rod license expired on the 31st March.
Anyone aged 12 years or over who fishes for salmon,
trout, freshwater fish or eels in England or Wales
must be in possession of a valid Environment Agency
Rod License.
Failure
to produce a valid EA Rod License could result in
prosecution with a maximum fine of £2,500. Rod
Licenses may be purchased on line at The EA Web Site
(using the link above), at any Post Office in the
UK or via the telephone on 0870 1662662.
And don't forget this only covers you for 2 rods which
means you will need 2 licenses to legally fish lakes
which allow you to fish more than 2 rods.
