Kennington Park Angling Club was formed in September 1999
by residents of the Kenningtons estate in Aveley. Anyone within
a five mile radius of the clubwater is eligible to join.
The club currently leases two lakes on the Kennington Park
complex. The back lake is for members only whilst the
front lake is for members and also for those having
pre-booked a session with the bailiff. There is a good stock
of carp, tench, bream, roach, rudd and perch on both lakes,
with the front lake also containing some large pike for the
winter months.
For insurance purposes, the front
lake is currently limited to 10 tickets per day and although
these can be booked in advance by contacting the bailiff,
tickets are also issued on the bank.
If you would like to book tickets please contact the Bailiff,
Gary Norfolk on 07724 159489 between 7am and 10pm.
Tickets prices are:
Adults - 1 or 2 rods - £8.00
Juniors and concessions - 1 or 2 rods - £4.00
Please note: Night fishing is for Members only on the
front and back lakes. Non members are only permitted to day
fish the front lake.

Disabled swims
Both the front and back lakes
have swims specifically set aside for the disabled angler.
Front Lake - Access to those on the front
lake is very easy with both swims being closest to the
car park. Access to either swim is straight forward with both
of them being at the same height as the bank.
Back Lake - Designated swims on the back lake are numbers
1 & 2. Again, the first swims on arrival at the lake.
Just recently (2005), the swims were dug out, and laid with
fresh bark chippings as well as having large concrete plinths
buried in the ground to provide a solid footing. Access from
the bank is via a specially constructed ramp.
Keepnets - Keepnets can be used on either of the lakes
and there are a few simple rules to follow:
- Ensure the net is sunk as low as possible
- No single fish over 3lb is to be kept
- A maximum catchweight of 20lb per net
In warmer weather, the use of keepnets is at the discretion
of the bailiff in order to safeguard the health of the fish.
